Section 6 leads the 1L Green Section Competition by signing the Sustainability Pledge

Section 6 achieved 100% participation in the Sustainability Pledge Challenge! Section 6 achieved 100% participation in the Sustainability Pledge Challenge!

This fall, HLS launched the first-ever 1L Green Section Competition, during which 1L sections lead by volunteer Green Section Reps will compete in a series of participation-based sustainability-focused challenges throughout the year.

The first challenge was to take the Sustainability Pledge. 46% of all HLS 1L students signed the pledge, committing to take actions to reduce their environmental impact such as taking the stairs instead of the elevator, drinking tap water instead of bottled, and choosing re-useable food and beverage containers instead of disposable. Section 6 dominated the competition by achieving 100% participation!

The 2010-2011 Section Green Reps are:

Section 1: Laura Wolf

Section 2: Dave Jochnowitz

Section 3: Esther Lim; Doug Hastings

Section 4: Charlie Griffin

Section 5: Ona Balkus

Section 6: Victor Ban

Section 7: Ben Solomon-Schwartz; Hunter Landerholm
