Across Harvard, building managers and University leaders are responding to the urgent need to address climate change by renovating and constructing greener buildings that cut energy use and are healthier, happier places for staff to work and students to learn.

On Wednesday August 18, Harvard celebrated its thirty-first and thirty-second LEED certifications, for the Graduate School of Education Longfellow Basement and Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) NW Labs Biophysics projects respectively. Earlier this month, the FAS Hip Hop Archive received Harvard’s thirtieth certification. We’ll post stories and project summaries on the Longfellow and NW Labs soon but for now keep yourself entertained by reading about the Hip Hop Archive’s LEED-CI Silver Certification.

The Office of Sustainability’s Green Building Services team provides consulting services and expertise to the Harvard community and has partnered with Schools and units across the University on many of the LEED projects. Learn more about GBS at the Green Building Resource.
